PCB double-sided circuit boards and PCB multi-layer circuit boards have some similarities in appearance, and it is difficult for most people to distinguish whether they are double-sided circuit boards or multi-layer circuit boards. Below, we will introduce how to distinguish between ordinary double-sided circuit boards and multi-layer circuit boards:
Firstly, it is necessary to have an understanding of the number of layers on a circuit board. The number of layers on a circuit board is in the inner layer, with 1-2 layers referred to as 1-layer PCB single panel, 2 layers referred to as PCB double-sided circuit board, and PCB multi-layer board referring to 3-4 layers; The main differences between ordinary double-sided circuit boards and multi-layer circuit boards:
1. The more layers there are, the greater the shadow inside the sheet metal
2. PCB double-sided circuit board with circuits and ink on both ends;
3. The double-sided PCB circuit board is made of pure board material;
4. Within the multi-layer PCB circuit board, some faint shadows can be seen, with a slight dimness in the light and some lines visible in the deep;
5. Multi layer PCB circuit boards have a smooth surface, especially when cleaned after forming and processing;
6. To know which layer of board it is, you can only record it through the manufacturer’s IM inspection or the development engineer’s drawing board.
